April

In April we were constantly learning the "tricks of the trade" for parenting and learning how to function on much less sleep. We were LOVING calling ourselves "mom" and "dad" and calling Carter our little man. Please, allow me to post WAY too many pictures that I love :)

We had a lot of visitors:
great grandpa and grandma marsh
cousins - cousins
best friends with future best friends
meeting "mor-mor" for the first time
meeting grandpa for the first time
Our Marsh family also took the chance to come up here to see Carter/join us for Easter/go to a cousin's farewell. It all worked out really well. My family also threw a baby shower for Carter for after he was born so all of the family could have a chance to visit and see him all at once.

We also started the tradition of attending all of Brad's softball games - so fun!

*Memories from Carter's baby book for his first month*
Carter eats sleeps and poops all day long. He poops every morning and everyone knows it because he grunts so loud. He drinks between 2-3 ox. of ANY formula, every 3-3.5 hours and sometimes goes 4 hours at night. We've been given a variety of formulas from a lot of generous people and you will drink any of it - which is nice. He started trying to hold up his head the day after he was born and can hold it up by yourself now, but not for too long. He lost all of the baby hair on the top of his head and I had a hard time with the grandpa hair in the back, so we gave him his first "haircut". He went to church at 2 weeks, Walmart, Costco, and Target. He is a great errand buddy and loves to sleep in his car seat. He also went to the Law office of our adoption lawyer to start some legal paper work. He is the happiest, sweetest baby and rarely fusses.
